Bedo Ki Gen is committed to a world without war, and creating environments that provide security, hope and opportunites for all returned children and their children after them.

Bedo Ki Gen (which means Living With Hope) was established in 2018 to provide ongoing support for former Ugandan child soldiers who were abducted by Joseph Kony and The Lords Resistance Army.

What we do

Ongoing psychological, psychosocial and emotional support for returned children, and their families.

Record the stories of all the children who have returned, who have been killed and who are still missing.

Celebrating and recording the achievements of the returned children to give hope to others.

Build a memorial to remember all abducted children and preserve the history of war as seen by the abducted children.
